This is my 15th year at Bailey Middle school and 19th year in education. I have my Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction through Gardner-Webb University. I have a Master's degree in Business Education and am National Board Certified. I grew up in Suffolk, Virginia. After high school I enlisted in the US Air Force, where I worked with SRAM Missiles. I have lived all over the United States doing many different jobs from bank teller to mail delivery and even factory work. Between my husband and I we have 5 grown children and 8 grandchildren. We like to travel to see our kids and grandchildren on the holidays as none of them live here. We currently reside in Statesville. I love teaching and especially love my summers off ;-)
This year I will be teaching Keyboarding and Basic Word Processing, Introduction to Office Productivity, and Office Productivity. I am certified in Microsoft Word 2016 and Microsoft PowerPoint 2016. I am the FBLA club adviser and we are now entering our 7th year of competitions and community service.

I have substantial allergies and would like to respectfully request that your child not use strong colognes nor perfumes in my classroom. There is also a strong fruity smelling chewing gum and I react to as well. I also have several students with sensitivities to strong smells. Students will be told about this in the classroom.
